A celebration of service, security and dedication Garv Ka Parv was held at Adarsh Auditorium, Delhi Police Headquarters in the presence of the Chief Guest, Sh. Vinai Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble LG, Delhi and Sh. Satish Golchha, Commissioner of Police, Delhi. On this occasion, 1,559 stolen lost mobile phones recovered by Delhi Police were returned to their owners, and 22 police personnel who played significant role in recovering these mobile phones and 13 Good Samaritans were also felicitated.
Sh. Satish Golchha, IPS, AGMUT 1992, took charge as Commissioner of Police, Delhi at Police Headquarters on 22.08.2025. He has previously served on several important positions in Delhi Police and also as DGP, Arunachal Pradesh, DG Tihar. He has also served in CBI for more than 9 years. The officer is a recipient of several prestigious awards including President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, President's Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Sh. S.B.K. Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, inaugurated the Etiquette and Skill Training session for Duty Officers and Integrated Public Facilitation Officers of Delhi Police at the Adarsh Auditorium, Police Headquarters, Delhi. On this occasion, he also unveiled two handbooks specifically designed for this Etiquette and Skill Training program by Delhi Police Academy.
To mark the 79th Independence Day celebrations, the Tricolour was hoisted, at Police Headquarters, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi by Shri S.B.K. Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi. The CP Delhi, congratulated Delhi Police officers, staff and their families on the occasion of Independence Day and also praised the police personnel for successfully completing the challenging, incident free, Independence Day security arrangements.
