The Delhi Police today held a Commemoration Day Parade in the remembrance of Police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty while serving their respective forces between 01.09.2024 and 31.08.2025. The Parade was held at Parade Ground, New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi. The Commissioner of Police, Delhi, Shri Satish Golchha read out the names of martyrs of Delhi Police and State and Central Police Organizations who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, during the period.
In the august presence of Sh. Vinai Kumar Saxena, Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and Sh. Satish Golchha, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, a Mega Drug Destruction event was held, today to destroy 1847 KGs of drugs at Biotic Waste Solutions Pvt. Ltd., SSI Industrial Area, GT Karnal Road, Delhi. Delhi Police is working rigorously on a zero tolerance policy against narcotics and is taking strict measures through initiatives like Operation Kavach and various other rigorous narcotic detection operations.
A celebration of service, security and dedication Garv Ka Parv was held at Adarsh Auditorium, Delhi Police Headquarters in the presence of the Chief Guest, Sh. Vinai Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble LG, Delhi and Sh. Satish Golchha, Commissioner of Police, Delhi. On this occasion, 1,559 stolen lost mobile phones recovered by Delhi Police were returned to their owners, and 22 police personnel who played significant role in recovering these mobile phones and 13 Good Samaritans were also felicitated.
Sh. Satish Golchha, IPS, AGMUT 1992, took charge as Commissioner of Police, Delhi at Police Headquarters on 22.08.2025. He has previously served on several important positions in Delhi Police and also as DGP, Arunachal Pradesh, DG Tihar. He has also served in CBI for more than 9 years. The officer is a recipient of several prestigious awards including President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, President's Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
