Delhi Police celebrated its 79th Raising Day with a grand ceremonial parade at Parade Ground, New Police Lines, Kingsway camp, Delhi. Sh. Amit Shah, Hon'ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Govt. of India, took the salute as Chief Guest in the presence of Sh. Satish Golchha, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi. At this occasion eFoundation stone for the integrated headquarters of Special Cell was laid by the Chief Guest. Foundation stones for 10 new building projects of the Delhi Police were also laid, and the first phase of the Safe City Project was inaugurated.
On the occasion of the 79th Raising Day of Delhi Police, Shri Satish Golchha, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, today unveiled a grand portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Police Headquarters, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi. On this significant occasion, the Commissioner of Police, Delhi also unveiled a model trophy vitrine to showcase the prestigious “Best Police Station in the Country” trophy at PHQ. Further strengthening technological initiatives, the CP Delhi launched a new web/tablet application for Police Clearance Certificate and Character Verification Report.
The Closing Ceremony of the Annual Sports Meet 2026, organized under the banner “PFWS Mission Olympics,” was held on 7 February 2026 at the Sports Ground, New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, marking the successful conclusion of a competitive three day sports meet. The ceremony was graced by Shri Satish Golchha, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Yogeshwar Dutt, Olympic Bronze Medallist and Padma Shri Awardee, as the Special Guest. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of Smt. Rachna Golchha, President, Police Families Welfare Society PFWS, along with distinguished representatives from the Delhi Olympic Association, ONGC, and Indian Oil Corporation.
A Passing Out Parade and Swearing in ceremony for 291 trainees was held today, at Delhi Police Academy, Jharoda Kalan, Delhi. Trainees from different cadres include 4 DANIPS Probationers, 135 Probationer Sub Inspectors, 133 Recruit Constables and 19 trainees of other cadres. Sh. Satish Golchha, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, took the salute from the marching contingents.
